Nurses truly took the brunt of the COVID19 pandemic. Although they were lauded as heroes, this term became a dehumanizing platitude for healthcare workers that were taking on so much trauma and pain. As part of a larger effort to promote nurses’ mental health, Trusted Health launched the “Not a Hero, But a Human” campaign. I was brought on to concept, write, and direct the stories of two frontline nurses who struggled with the after effects of the pandemic. These films aimed to normalize conversations about mental health—an issue that has long been stigmatized within the nursing profession—while positioning Trusted Health as a key ally. Client goals: 1M impressions. Results: 3M impressions, the highest watched videos ever on Trusted's organic channels, dozens of positive comments, and Silver at the first-ever Webby Anthem Awards.
